Groby Road Medical Centre are looking for enthusiastic, flexible, highly motivated individuals to join our hardworking and dedicated reception team. We are looking for team players with excellent communication and customer service skills. Previous experience is desirable but not essential.
Main duties of the joba. Maintain and monitor the practice appointment system
b. Process personal, telephone and e-requests
c. Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers 'request appropriately
d. Signpost patients to the correct service
e. Initiating contact with and responding to, requests from patients, team members and external agencies
f. Clinically code data on Systm One
g. Photocopy documentation as required
h. Data entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information as required
i. Input data into patients healthcare records as necessary
j. Direct requests for information, i.e., SAR, insurance/solicitors letters and DVLA forms to the administrative team
k. Manage all queries as necessary in an efficient manner
l. Carry out system searches as requested
m. Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times
n. Monitor and maintain the reception area and notice boards
o. Support all clinical staff with general tasks as requested

11000patients with adynamic4partner partnership, with salaried GPs plus a fantastic multi disciplinary team of nurses, HCAs, apharmacist, a social prescriber, GP Assistant and admin/reception staff. We are a teaching and training practice with medical students and GPST.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a warm, professional welcome to all patients and visitors.
- Answer and manage telephone calls, emails, and online requests promptly.
- Book, amend, and cancel patient appointments using the clinical system (Systm One).
- Process repeat prescription requests and other patient queries in line with practice policy.
- Maintain accurate patient records and confidentiality at all times (GDPR compliant).
- Assist with new patient registrations and changes to records.
- Liaise with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support smooth running of clinics.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scanning, coding, filing, and data entry.

- Team player with a flexible and proactive attitude.
- Understanding of patient confidentiality and data protection principles
