Senior Civil Engineer – Leicester

Salary : £50,000 – £60,000 (open to discussion based on experience)

Location : Leicester (within 1 hour’s commute) – relocation considered

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to take a leading role within the Leicester office. You’ll oversee day‑to‑day project delivery, mentor junior team members, and step up to lead the team in the Principal Engineer’s absence.

You’ll work on a wide range of projects, helping drive the consultancy’s next phase of regional growth.

• Lead and deliver civil infrastructure design projects (drainage, highways, earthworks, and external works).
• Use Civil 3D , Micro Drainage , and Causeway Flow to produce high‑quality design deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with UK design standards and quality expectations.
• Manage workloads, resources, and deadlines effectively.
• Provide technical mentorship and leadership to the civil engineering team.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and local authorities with professionalism and confidence.
• Contribute to business development and the growth of regional offices.

• Chartered (CEng) or close to chartership.
• 5-10 years’ experience in civil infrastructure design within consultancy.
• Proficient in Civil 3D , Micro Drainage , and Causeway Flow .
• Proven leadership and project management capability.
• Confident communicator with a proactive mindset.
• Based within 1 hour of Leicester (or open to relocation ).
