Senior Town Planner - Leicester

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be working with a leading multidisciplinary design and planning consultancy in their search for a Senior Town Planner to join their Leicester office. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in shaping projects across residential, commercial, mixed-use, and regeneration schemes.

• Managing and delivering a variety of planning projects from inception to determination, working closely with clients, local planning authorities, and external stakeholders.
• Supporting the growth of the planning team and mentoring junior colleagues, helping to strengthen the consultancy's reputation and portfolio.
• Preparing, submitting, and managing planning applications and appeals.
• Undertaking site appraisals and providing planning advice to clients.
• Preparing planning statements, policy representations, and environmental assessments.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships and contributing to business development.
• Representing the company at planning committees, hearings, and public consultations.

• We are looking for an ambitious planning professional with MRTPI Chartered status (or actively working towards it).
• 3-5 years' post-qualification experience within planning consultancy, development, or local authority.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to provide high-quality, pragmatic planning advice.
