Technical Sales Manager - Air Systems
Location:
Based near Leicester (UK-wide & international travel)
Salary: £50,000-£70,000 + up to 25% company bonus

Hours:
Mon-Thu 8:30-5:00, Fri 8:30-3:30 (early finish)
We are looking for an experienced Technical Sales Manager with strong knowledge of air systems to take full sales ownership of a high-value portfolio. Based in Leicester, this role offers a rare blend of technical challenge, autonomy and global exposure - with around 50% of business overseas and regular international travel (typically one week at a time), alongside UK site visits 2-3 days per week.
You will manage the full sales lifecycle from enquiry, technical discussions and design input through to quotation, negotiation and closing - personally generating £1.5m+ annual revenue.
This isn't a "sales chat" role. We want someone credible, technically strong and able to work consultatively with customers.
Key Responsibilities- Manage full technical sales process with UK and global customers
- Travel to customer sites in the UK and overseas (regular travel required)
- Take ownership for quotations, pricing and negotiations
- Build strong customer relationships and develop long‑term business partnerships
- Work closely with internal engineering and project teams
- Deliver a personal sales revenue target of £1.5m+ annually
Skills & Qualifications
- HNC in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Strong background in air systems / air handling / similar engineering environments
- Ability to understand technical solutions and communicate confidently with engineers and customers
- Experienced and credible – ideally replacing someone with long‑standing industry knowledge
- Ability to read AutoCAD or 3D drawings (highly desirable)
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to manage high‑value projects

- £50,000-£70,000 base salary
- Up to 25% bonus based on company performance
- Company car or car allowance (premium hybrid options available)
- Monday to Friday role with early Friday finish
