About Our Client

Our client is a technology-led services business with over 950 employees and £75m+ in annual turnover, operating across multiple UK and international locations. Continued growth has increased the need for senior-level financial oversight across audit, tax, treasury and group control.

This role has been created to provide enhanced senior ownership across financial control and compliance, acting as a key escalation point for complex matters and supporting the ongoing development of financial standards across the organisation.

• Provide senior ownership of financial governance and control frameworks, ensuring consistency and compliance across the business.
• Act as lead contact for external audit partners, managing planning, delivery and resolution of technical accounting matters.
• Hold senior responsibility for tax compliance and risk management, coordinating UK and international tax advisors.
• Oversee treasury and banking arrangements, including liquidity planning, cash oversight and banking relationships.
• Maintain accountability for statutory reporting and corporate filings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across all entities.
• Set standards and provide leadership oversight across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, acting as an escalation point rather than day-to-day manager.
• Sponsor finance systems, controls and process improvement initiatives, ensuring scalability and resilience.
• Act as a trusted senior finance contact for internal stakeholders, offering guidance on risk, compliance and financial best practice.
• Retain the ability to operate hands‑on where required to maintain continuity and quality across the finance function.

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA strongly preferred; ACCA or CIMA considered).
• Training within Big 4 or Top 10 practice, with substantial post‑qualification experience.
• Experience operating in a senior financial control, group accounting or technical finance role within a complex organisation.
• Deep understanding of audit management, statutory reporting and financial governance.
• Proven exposure to treasury, tax and external stakeholder management at a senior level.
• Confidence and gravitas to engage with senior executives, auditors, banks and external advisors.
• Experience improving or stabilising finance environments with evolving systems or processes.
• A pragmatic, hands‑on leadership style alongside strong technical capability.

• Salary of £85,000 - £100,000, depending on experience
