Join to apply for the Wix Website & Digital Officer - Volunteer role at KAINE MANAGEMENT LTD

Help us strengthen our community impact by improving our Wix website, creating engaging content areas for events, donations, and memberships, and enhancing our digital communication tools. A great opportunity to use your web and design skills for social good.

What difference will you make? Our website is a vital part of how we connect with our community, supporters, and donors. However, it needs improvement to fully reflect who we are and to better serve our audience. By improving the design, functionality, and flow of our Wix website, you’ll help us:

  • Strengthen our brand presence across all digital channels.
  • Make it easier for people to find information, join events, or contribute.
  • Simplify how we manage and update content internally.
  • Provide a seamless experience for visitors engaging with our campaigns, events, and fundraising initiatives.

Your work will directly support our ability to reach more people, communicate our impact more effectively, and engage a growing community of supporters and volunteers. It will also help us use digital tools more efficiently—freeing up valuable time and resources to focus on delivering our mission.

What are we looking for? We’re looking for someone creative, organised, and passionate about using their digital skills to make a difference.

Essential Skills And Experience
  • Proven experience designing or developing websites using Wix (including Wix Stores, Events, or Member Areas).
  • Understanding of UX/UI principles to ensure the site is intuitive and accessible.
  • Familiarity with SEO, email integrations, and analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Wix Analytics).
  • Ability to translate branding and messaging into effective visual design.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills — comfortable working with non-technical team members.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience working with charities, social enterprises, or community organisations.
  • Understanding of e-commerce and subscription models on Wix.
  • Knowledge of content strategy and digital storytelling.
Personal qualities
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to creating high-quality work.
  • Empathy and enthusiasm for our cause and community.
  • Patience and willingness to explain processes clearly so our team can maintain the site independently after your work.

We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds and levels of experience, particularly those looking to apply their web or design skills for a meaningful purpose. Whether you’re a freelance Wix designer, a digital marketing professional, or an experienced web developer seeking to give back, your expertise will help us create a lasting impact online.

What will you be doing? We are looking for a skilled Wix website developer to help us refresh and enhance our online presence. Our goal is to create a consistent and engaging digital experience that reflects our mission, attracts supporters, and simplifies how we manage content and communications.

Key tasks include
  • Website review and redesign:
Improve layout, navigation, and visual appeal to ensure a professional, accessible, and mobile-friendly website.
  • Events and activities:
Set up or refine an events section to promote upcoming activities, handle registrations or ticketing, and integrate with our communications tools.
  • Online shop and subscriptions:
Develop areas for item sales (e.g. merchandise or fundraising products) and supporter subscriptions or memberships, including payment and access management.
  • Email integration:
Connect the website with our email platform (Mailchimp, Hub Spot, or Wix Email) to streamline supporter updates, newsletters, and automated messages.
  • Brand and content consistency:
Apply our brand guidelines across pages and create templates we can use for future updates.
  • Analytics setup:
Implement tracking to help us measure engagement, traffic, donations, and content performance.

You will work with our communications and operations team to understand our goals, propose practical improvements, and deliver a clear, user-friendly website. This may also include advising on content strategy, SEO, and best practices for ongoing site management.
