Position: Product Manager - Public Sector (GDS) Professional Multiple Cities

In this role, you’ll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centres (Delivery Centres), delivering deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centres offer customers locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Responsibilities
  • Define and articulate product vision, strategy, goals, and roadmap in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the broader public sector objectives.
  • Employ excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, including executives, project teams, functional managers, and specialists from various areas (digital, operations, policy, legal, etc.), to build consensus, manage expectations, and facilitate effective decision‑making and prioritisation.
  • Create a Minimal Viable Product (MVP) and oversee the ongoing evolution of the product roadmap and management of the product backlog.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team, integrating user needs and considering both business and technical considerations/constraints to drive product development.
  • Lead the team in delivering products and services in line with the public sector's specific requirements and regulations.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, such as sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Remove obstacles and impediments that hinder the team's progress, ensuring smooth workflow and continuous improvement.
  • Foster a culture of transparency, inspection and adaptation within the team.
  • Collaborate with other product owners, stakeholders and Scrum Masters to ensure alignment and effective communication.
