Position: Childcare Solicitor (Contract)
Location: Glenfield

Service Care Solutions is working alongside a highly regarded Local Authority, based in Leicestershire, which is recruiting for an experienced Childcare Solicitor to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed solicitor to make a real difference by supporting the council’s vital work in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and families.

Childcare Solicitor

Location:

Leicestershire – hybrid
Umbrella Rate: £55 - £60ph
PAYE Inc. Rate: £48.44ph - £52.79
Contract Length: 3 months ongoing

Key Responsibilities

Provide advocacy and legal representation in the Magistrates’ Court and County Court, and when suitably experienced, in the Family Division of the High Court.
Advise officers, members, panels, and case conferences on matters relating to child protection and other children’s services responsibilities.
Handle your own Childcare Law caseload from start to completion.

About You

Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with experience in childcare or family law(public sector experience desirable).
Strong advocacy skills and the ability to manage sensitive and complex cases.
Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
