About The Role
The Leicester Real Estate team is expanding and is looking for a further lawyer to join. The team requires an enthusiastic, driven lawyer with 3 years’ PQE+ and ideally experience acting for clients in the retail sector and/or landlord and tenant matters. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside Partner Caroline Smith as she embeds a number of household names into the Firm.
There will be opportunities to develop client management skills as the successful candidate will assist in strengthening and expanding client relationships. You would be based in our central Leicester office.
Freeths’ highly rated and award-winning team of over 150 real estate lawyers operate from 13 UK locations. Our Leicester Real Estate department, led by Partner Sam Pancholi, covers all aspects of real estate work including commercial development, residential land sales, investment, asset management, property finance and regeneration projects, as well as sector-focused work such as retail and care. The Leicester Real Estate team currently has 10 lawyers and is a busy, driven and high-performing team with high-quality clients and work.
It is on a growth trajectory, and this is an exciting opportunity to play a role in that growth.
- Have directly relevant previous experience and the correct level of post-qualified experience (PQE) for the role.
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of the industry.
- A proven track record of competent financial management, ability to meet client expectations and sound case management skills.
- Self-starting, friendly individual with excellent interpersonal skills and a desire to consistently provide high levels of client service.
- Ability to consistently demonstrate and embody the firm’s values.
- Good IT skills, experience with case management systems, electronic time recording and Microsoft packages.
- Work to a consistently high level and provide exemplary client service and care.
- Competent financial management and commercial awareness, including accurate time recording, billing, achievement of targets and management of WIP.
- Contribute to business development opportunities to retain existing clients and expand the business.
- Maintain up-to-date technical expertise at all times.
- Comply with the SRA competence standards.
