Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be supporting our client, a progressive accountancy firm, in their search for a Digital and Outsourcing Manager to drive the continued growth and digital transformation of their management accounts and outsourcing offering. This newly created role provides the opportunity to shape the function, champion innovation, and leverage AI and cloud-based solutions to deliver a best-in-class outsourced finance service to clients.

• Lead and oversee delivery of monthly and quarterly management accounts for a diverse SME client base.
• Manage a team delivering bookkeeping, VAT returns, payroll, and forecasting within a full outsourced finance function.
• Review and enhance processes using cloud-based tools and AI-driven technology to improve efficiency and client experience.
• Prepare and present financial performance insights, KPI reports, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring quality, consistency, and commercially focused advice.
• Develop and manage client portfolios, contributing to fee growth and profitability.
• Support the onboarding of new clients and guide them through digital transformation projects.
• Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering skills, confidence, and progression.
• Play an active role in business development and the evolution of the outsourcing service line.

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or qualified by experience).
• Hands‑on expertise with Xero and wider cloud accounting tools (e.g., Dext, Fathom, or similar).
• Experience in process improvement, digital transformation projects, and implementing technology‑led solutions.
• Strong background in management accounting; UK practice experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Proven track record managing client portfolios across multiple sectors.
• Skilled in team leadership, mentoring, and managing workflow.
• Confident communicator with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Proficiency in KPI reporting, budgeting, and cash flow planning.
