Composite Fitters – Overseas – Contract

Tip Top Job  wishes to fill a position for Composite Fitters in overseas production. The role is for a 6‑month minimum contract with daily allowances and accommodation allowance. The company is a market‑leading innovative Defence Systems and Aviation Company.

• Carry out autoclave loading/unloading and monitor the curing process.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, programmes and production teams to resolve builds.
• Complete production documentation and maintain accurate records.
• Inspect materials and finished components for defects, ensuring quality standards are met.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment in line with company HSE policies.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and cutting equipment safely and accurately.
• Perform lay‑up, de‑bulking, and vacuum bagging of pre‑preg composite materials.
• Trim, drill, fit and assemble composite components to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Work to tight tolerances and follow detailed technical instructions, build manuals and aerospace standards.

• NVQ Level 3 in Aeronautical or Composite Manufacturing, or equivalent experience.
• Hands‑on, detail‑focused, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Confidence, precision and pride in craft.
• Ensure all composite structures meet stringent aerospace standards.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with autoclave and oven curing operations.
• Excellent interpersonal and strong organisational skills.
• Skilled in hand fitting, trimming/bonding composite parts.
• Strong attention to detail and high accuracy.
• Experience with pre‑preg composite materials in industry.
• Experience of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement.
• Experience with clean‑room or temperature‑controlled environments.
• Knowledge of NDT processes for composites (e.g., ultrasonic inspection).
• Knowledge of composite lay‑up techniques, curing processes and aerospace standards.
• Ideally understanding of aerospace certification requirements (e.g., AS9100).
• Positive can‑do attitude and ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Creative and resourceful under pressure and forward‑thinking.
• Ability to prioritise workload with minimal supervision to meet deadlines.
• Resilient, self‑motivated and willing/able to travel overseas.
• Basic UK Security Clearance required – only applicants from EU Nationals who hold or can obtain this will be considered.

Due to visa restrictions, the vacancy is open only to EU Nationals or Dual Nationals who are also EU Nationals. Eligible EU nationalities include:
Irish, Romanian, Polish, German, Italian, Spanish, Swedish, Hungarian, Bulgarian, French and other EU member states.

Contract – 6‑month minimum. Umbrella contract with daily allowances and accommodation allowance. Adherence to HSE policies required.
