Buyer - Structural & Architectural Fabrication

Location: Leicester

Salary: £30,000 DOE (flexible)

Hours: Monday to Friday (early finish on Fridays)

Start Date: End of December or January

We are seeking an experienced Buyer to join a well-presented and reputable establishment in the structural and architectural fabrication industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong commercial awareness, excellent numerical skills, and a proven ability to manage pricing and procurement effectively.

Industry experience is essential, but we may consider candidates with highly transferable skills from similar sectors.

• Source and purchase raw materials, components, and services for structural and architectural fabrication projects.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to ensure cost efficiency and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and manage supplier agreements using company systems.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with production teams to ensure timely material availability.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to support long-term business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant industry regulations.

• Proven experience as a Buyer in the fabrication, structural, or architectural industry (or similar manufacturing / engineering sectors).
• Strong numerical and analytical skills; confident with pricing and cost analysis.
• Proficiency in procurement systems and Microsoft Office tools.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
