Job Description

Job Title: Fabricator

Location: Leicester

Employment Type: Permanent

We are looking for a skilled Fabricator to join a well-established and secure fabrication company based in Leicester. This is a permanent position within a clean, well-structured, and supportive workshop environment offering long‑term stability and career development.

About the Role

You will be fabricating a wide range of architectural and structural steelwork including canopies, stairs, handrails, ladders, and other bespoke items. The work involves both mild and stainless steel, carried out to a high standard within a busy and productive workshop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fabrication of structural and architectural components from drawings and fabrication packs.
  • Working with mild and stainless steel materials.
  • Producing accurate, quality work to meet project specifications and deadlines.
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings to fabricate independently and efficiently.
  • Working confidently as part of a team and individually in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and well‑organised workspace in accordance with health and safety standards.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a fabricator within a similar architectural or structural steel environment.
  • Ability to read and work from detailed engineering drawings.
  • Time‑served experience or relevant fabrication qualifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Coded experience beneficial, though not essential - in‑house training and coding provided.
Hours of Work
  • Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 17:30
  • Friday: 07:00 - 09:30 (early finish, with option for extra hours)
Pay and Benefits
  • £15.50 - £16.50 per hour (depending on experience).
  • Annual pay reviews and performance‑based increases.
