The Borgen Project works to address global poverty by advocating for policy changes at national levels. The program provides insight into the key skills required to lead and develop a nonprofit organisation. This is a part-time 12-hours per week, 12-week, unpaid remote programme. If your availability is limited, you can work ahead and complete the programme in fewer weeks.
Responsibilities- Advocacy Leadership Development — Meet with members of Government in your District/Constituency; represent The Borgen Project at various business, political and community events; mobilise individuals to contact their members of Government in support of key poverty-reduction legislation.
- Fundraising Development — Learn how to fundraise. Create a personal fundraising campaign and meet targets.
- Recruitment — Update job postings; inform groups and classes of openings; introduction to recruitment platforms and listen in to interviews.
- Marketing and Promotion — Pitch story ideas to print, broadcast and digital media and utilise social media and develop strategies for web-based messaging.
No prior experience is necessary; we’re looking for people who are passionate about fighting poverty and righting wrongs, regardless of GPAs/background.
DetailsThis is an unpaid internship, although college credit is available.
