Business Development ExecutiveLeicester, LE3 - 100% office based £24,000 - £27,000 per annum + performance-based bonuses (OTE £40,000+)Full time, permanent Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm (08:45am - 5:15pm)

Our client, a dynamic and forward-thinking independent technology business, is seeking a Business Development Executive to join their growing sales team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to kick-start or develop a long-term career in professional B2B sales. The role offers structured support, ongoing training and genuine progression opportunities, with the potential for increased responsibility and significantly higher earnings as you develop within the business.

You will play a key role in driving new business, spending around 80% of your time making outbound calls to warm and cold prospects. You'll build strong relationships, understand client needs, introduce tailored solutions and book qualified appointments for the wider sales team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Make outbound calls to warm and cold leads to generate new business opportunities

  • Build rapport quickly, identify client needs and present tailored solutions

  • Book qualified appointments for the field sales team and Directors

  • Follow up on leads generated from marketing campaigns and networking activity

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the CRM system

  • Achieve and exceed daily, weekly and monthly activity and revenue targets

  • Support the wider sales team with proposals and administrative tasks as required

What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 18 months' experience in outbound B2B sales or telesales (essential)

  • A confident, professional and engaging telephone manner

  • Strong levels of self-motivation with a goal-driven mindset

  • Resilient, target-focused and able to work under pressure

  • Ability to use initiative and work effectively towards targets

  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Experience using a CRM system would be beneficial
