Shift Engineer; Assembly

A FMCG manufacturer are seeking a Shift Engineer to cover their assembly department. This an opportunity for an apprentice trained Engineer who looking to develop their career within a fast paced manufacturing environment.

Shifts
- Double Days- 6am till 2pm & 2pm till 10pm.

Salary £38,000 to £42,000 plus Benefits

• Work collaboratively within a proactive maintenance team to ensure optimal performance of equipment and reduce downtime.
• Take a central role in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and continuous improvement initiatives, driving operational excellence.
• Conduct timely preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to production timelines.
• Investigate recurring faults, implement solutions, and liaise with manufacturers for equipment analysis and repair.
• Promote and adhere to health and safety standards, conducting risk assessments and encouraging safe working practices.
• Maintain accurate records of major breakdowns and maintenance activities using the CMM system.

• Time-served Industrial Electrician qualifications with relevant certifications.
• Experience in an industrial engineering environment, ideally within manufacturing.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and techniques, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
• Computer literacy and familiarity with equipment-specific training, such as PLCs and drives.
