Senior Quantity Surveyor; Sizewell C

Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor (Sizewell C)
Our client, a prominent player in the construction industry, is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team for the Sizewell C project. This is a permanent position ideally suited for professionals with significant experience in quantity surveying within the highways or civil infrastructure sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing all costs related to building and civil engineering projects from the initial calculations to the final figures
Undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work
Assisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies
Performing risk and value management and cost control
Advising on procurement strategy
Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks
Preparing and analysing costings for tenders
Allocating work to subcontractors and providing advice on contractual claims

Job Requirements:

Significant experience in quantity surveying, particularly in highways or civil infrastructure
Strong understanding of NEC contracts
Excellent analytical and numerical skills
Proven experience in managing costs on large-scale construction projects
Ability to interpret detailed design drawings and specifications
Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
Membership of a relevant professional organisation (e.g., RICS) is advantageous
