Operations Manager
Make a real difference with Biffa as an Admin Team Leader. This is a full-time, Monday to Friday role, working 37.5 hours per week.
Please note, this is a site-based position.
A quick look at the roleSupervise the administration team at Sizewell C, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately, on time, and in line with company policies. Oversee site administration, weighbridge operations, and record-keeping. Liaise with internal teams and external contractors, champion customer service excellence, and support safe, compliant, efficient, and profitable operations.
Join a Landmark Project, Sizewell C Nuclear Power StationBiffa’s Specialist Services Industrial Division has secured the waste management contract for the build of Sizewell C, a major nuclear power station development in Suffolk.
With a projected 9 to 12-year construction period, this high-profile project mirrors our successful work at Hinkley Point
C. Operations will eventually move to a purpose-built Waste Consolidation Centre, but initially, our team will manage the contract directly from the client’s site, overseeing collections, subcontractors, reporting, invoicing, and waste consultancy.
- Proven experience in a senior administrative role, ideally within logistics or waste management.
- Strong people management and health & safety leadership skills.
- Track record of meeting service delivery KPIs and producing MI reports with trend analysis.
- Knowledge of waste industry laws, environmental and health & safety legislation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Teams, and extracting data from BI reports.
- Full driving licence
- IOSH General Certificate (or willingness to achieve).
