Hardware Engineer

Overview

Recruitment Consultant at Enterprise Recruitment Ltd offering a Hardware Engineer role focused on practical hardware engineering, system integration, documentation, and problem-solving. You will join a world-class engineering team working on computer hardware systems and develop into a subject matter expert over the next few years. Hybrid working (2 days from home).

Responsibilities

This is a broad hardware engineering position focused on computer hardware rather than bleeding-edge electronics R&D. Responsibilities include design work alongside a strong emphasis on system integration, documentation, and problem-solving, with an emphasis on seeing how everything fits together. You will gain experience across design, integration, qualification, and documentation, and learn from electronics experts who are invested in long-term talent development.

Essential

requirements

• At least 2 years commercial experience in a similar role
• Degree in Electronic Engineering
• Solid experience in some of the technologies below

Other useful experience

Embedded systems, digital and analogue design, small microprocessor and microcontroller systems, schematic design and some PCB layout (ORCAD, MENTOR or similar), Op Amp and DC-DC PSU design, EMC design (or willing to learn), environmental testing to standards such as RTCA/DO-160 including test specification and reporting, board-level fault finding, production collaboration experience, and experience in aerospace, automotive, medical, or safety-critical environments.
