Bookkeeper/ Accounting Clerk, Accounting Assistant
We have an exciting opportunity and are looking for the right individual to join our team.
Requirements:
Positive attitude, desire to learn and grow, initiative, job multitasking, deadline oriented, computer skills, reliable, ability to work in a team environment and overall strong work ethic.
Responsibilities:
All aspects of accounts payable, including:
• Receiving vendor invoices and matching them to approved purchase orders
• Post all open items in A/P on a daily basis
• Prepare weekly accounts payable cheques.
• Assist in monthly closing
Analyze vendor accounts and request for missing information.
Answer all vendor inquiries.
Prepare daily deposit reconciliations
Answering phones: directing calls, paging
Cross-training for other accounting department functions (illness/vacation coverage).
Maintain a professional appearance and a neat work area
Other duties as assigned.
Experience:
Accounting knowledge and experience required. Preferably looking for college diploma in accounting program or university courses, or well-rounded experience. Previous work experience in a dealership environment, particularly automotive, would be considered a definite asset
Computer software used:
Word, Excel and Outlook. Prior CDK/ADP software experience considered an asset but not required.
