Operate light and heavy equipment while maintaining grounds safely across seasonal conditions for the Department of Grounds Maintenance. Early starts may apply.
As a Grounds Worker II, you will perform manual Grounds Maintenance work and support campus appearance through changing seasons. Duties include turf, bed, and indoor plant maintenance, snow and ice removal, pruning, cleaning, and campus improvement projects. You will also coach casual summer staff while maintaining strong safety practices.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform turf, bed, and indoor plant maintenance
- Operate light and heavy duty equipment proficiently
- Remove snow and ice from campus areas
- Prune trees and shrubs as seasonal work requires
- Coach casual summer staff during assigned duties
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labour
- Ability to work under varied seasonal conditions
- Commitment to public, individual, and coworker safety
- Availability Monday to Friday during standard work hours
- Willingness to work shifting hours and overtime
Support safe campus operations through equipment operation, grounds care, seasonal response, and physical maintenance work.
