Our Partner is a fast growing IT services provider supporting corporate organizations across Belgium.
To strengthen their security practice, they are recruiting a Microsoft Security Solution Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft Purview and/or the Microsoft Defender security ecosystem.
The role
You will deliver design, architecture, and consulting engagements for enterprise clients across Belgium. Acting as a trusted advisor, you help customers elevate their security maturity and adopt the Microsoft security stack effectively.
Key responsibilities
Lead assessments, workshops, and technical discovery sessions
Design both high-level and low-level architectures
Implement and optimize solutions using Microsoft Purview and/or Microsoft Defender
Support pre-Sales activities with the commercial team
Advise on governance, compliance, data protection, and best practices
Act as a subject-matter expert for enterprise stakeholders
Your profile
You combine strong technical skills with clear communication and consulting capabilities. Specific technical expectations include:
Microsoft purview expertise (one or more areas)
Information Protection (MIP): sensitivity labels, auto-labeling, DLP policies
Data Loss Prevention:
EndPoint DLP, cloud DLP, insider risk controls
Information Governance & Records Management: retention labels/policies, data lifecycle architecture
eDiscovery (Standard / Premium): case creation, legal hold, data investigations
Compliance Manager: assessments, improvement actions, risk posture guidance
Insider
Risk Management:
policies, alert tuning, response workflows
Experience designing end-to-end data protection strategies in complex environments
Microsoft defender expertise (one or more products)
Defender for EndPoint: onboarding, attack surface reduction, EDR configurations, threat hunting
Defender for Office 365: phishing protection, Anti-Malware, Safe Links/Safe Attachments
Defender for Identity: AD security posture, lateral movement detection, identity-based alerts
Defender for Cloud Apps: app discovery, conditional access, cloud governance
Defender for Cloud: multi-cloud workload protection, security recommendations, compliance setup
Ability to design integrated detection & response architecture across the Defender suite
General requirements
Ability to translate business needs into technical security solutions
Experience delivering consulting assignments and workshops
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Fluency in Dutch is mandatory (English required; French is a plus)
Belgium-based, with occasional travel to client sites
What's offered
Salary: EUR3,800 - EUR4,500 / month
