Navantia UK is recruiting multiple Platers to join its growing team in Methil. Following the recent acquisition of Harland & Wolff’s facilities, Navantia UK is strengthening Britain’s defence, maritime, and clean energy industrial capabilities. With significant investment and long-term projects in the energy sector, this is an exciting time to join a business with a strong future and clear purpose.

As a Plater, you will play a key role in the fabrication of structural steelwork, contributing to high-quality outputs in a safe, controlled, and professional environment.

• Fabricate and weld structural steelwork in line with drawings and specifications
• Read and interpret engineering drawings (advantageous)
• Ensure tolerances and parameters are met to satisfy quality requirements
• Meet or exceed production targets and timings
• Adhere to all company procedures, rules, and Health & Safety standards
• Work effectively as part of a team to deliver work on time and to customer expectations
• Maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement

• Previous welding experience is an advantage
• Ability to work effectively using your own initiative
• Good communication skills at all levels
• Strong awareness and understanding of Health & Safety legislation
• A positive, reliable, and team-oriented approach
