Lockton - Experienced Professional

Description

Lockton Re helps businesses understand, mitigate, and capitalize on risk. We’re pushing the reinsurance industry forward with smarter solutions that leverage new technologies – delivered by people empowered to do what’s right for clients. Our success has seen the business grow to a headcount of more than 450 associates globally across 19 locations.

We’re the reinsurance business of Lockton Companies, the world's largest privately-held insurance broker. Fierce independence frees us to deliver an exceptional client service experience, unencumbered by pressure from financial markets, geographical divides, silos, or conflicts of interest between organisational goals and our clients’ needs.

We are now seeking individuals who will thrive in this type of atmosphere and, in line with continued success of the business, are now looking to recruit this newly-created Production Support role for our Marine & Energy team.

About the role

As a Binders / DA Production Support specialist within the Marine & Energy Reinsurance team, you will work with our broking and client service teams to ensure contract certainty for our clients, delivering first‑class service. You will have a high‑level understanding of wordings and major coverage issues – the structure and content of Binder / DA documents, DA systems, our business, and the reinsurance industry.

You will create, structure and refine Binder / DA contracts, making use of, and continuously developing, a broad network to leverage industry insights for your benefit.

How we will develop you

You will be joining a dynamic, collaborative, and entrepreneurial environment, with opportunities to work in a team of diverse skillsets and expertise. Learning from those around you as well as formal training opportunities aligned to the role.

Candidate Profile

Whilst the successful candidate could come from a variety of roles or backgrounds, we are seeking the following experience and attributes:

  • Prior experience in a similar Binder / DA role, supporting broking teams with evidenced knowledge of the broking process and contracts.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a keen interest in the mechanics of Binders / DA, policies, processes and systems (Atlas, DCOM, Crystal, Risk Locator, Lexis Nexis etc).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – able to communicate clearly with stakeholders in both formal and informal situations.
  • Commercially astute – able to quickly interpret commercial challenges and driven to find solutions for our clients.
  • An analytical mindset – driven to understand and leverage insights.
  • Drive to learn – with a work ethic of continual improvement and excellent service.
  • Personable – able to build effective and positive relationships.
