Aboutthe Role
As an Audit Manager, you will play a key role within the audit department, managing a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple sectors. You will report directly to the Partner and be supported by a team of Audit Seniors, overseeing audits from planning through to completion. This is a varied and hands‑on position that combines technical excellence with leadership and client relationship management.
Keyresponsibilities
- Managing a varied and interesting portfolio of clients across a range of industries
- Leading audits from planning through to completion, ensuring effective resource allocation
- Undertaking non‑audit assignments, including accounts preparation under UK GAAP
- Managing jobs to realistic budgets and time frames
- Demonstrating strong technical knowledge in audit and accounting standards
- Building strong relationships with clients and providing trusted advisory support
- Supervising and mentoring junior team members, conducting regular reviews and appraisals
- Identifying cross‑selling and business development opportunities
- Supporting Partners with client proposals and departmental development
- Staying up to date with legislative, technical, and regulatory changes, and sharing knowledge within the team
About You
We are seeking a proactive and confident Audit Manager who thrives in a collaborative environment and is keen to take ownership of their portfolio.
Essential skills and experience- ACA or ACCA Qualified
- Substantial recent experience in an audit‑focused role
- Advanced technical knowledge of audit and accounting standards
- Proven experience managing audits from planning to completion
- Experience supervising or mentoring team members
- Knowledge of accounting systems such as Sage, Xero, CCH, or Case Ware
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent communication, organisation, and client relationship management skills
- Ability to travel to client sites when required

Hours:
Monday to Friday, 36.25 hours per week
Hybrid working:
Flexible working available after successful completion of probation
Holidays: 25 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays)
