Lead Developer

£660 per day | Inside IR35 | 12-month contract

Hybrid - 4 days per month on-site in Brighton (flexible scheduling)

We are working with a public‑sector organisation on a key programme focused on Value for Members (VfM) and are seeking an experienced Lead Developer to play a critical role in the delivery of this initiative.

This is a senior, hands‑on role where you will provide technical leadership, guide development best practice, and work closely with delivery teams to build scalable, high‑quality solutions that directly support VfM objectives.

• Lead the design and development of solutions aligned to the Value for Members programme
• Provide hands‑on development and technical leadership across the team
• Work closely with architects, testers, product managers, and stakeholders
• Ensure code quality, performance, security, and maintainability
• Support and influence best practice across development and testing activities

• Strong experience with .NET and C#
• Cloud development experience using Azure
• Experience working with Playwright and Selenium (test automation awareness/interaction)
• Strong understanding of modern development practices and CI/CD
• Proven experience operating in a lead or senior developer capacity
• Experience working within complex, regulated, or public‑sector environments is desirable

  : 12 months
• Rate
  : £660 per day (Inside IR35)
