Butler Rose are exclusively working with a long-established manufacturing business in Leyland. The company operates in a highly regulated environment, supplying products to customers across a wide range of sectors in the UK and internationally. Known for its fast turnaround times and high quality standards, the business continues to grow and invest in modern technology and streamlined processes.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable professional to join their finance team on a full time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer invoicing, credit control, payment allocation, reconciliations, and ensuring the timely collection of outstanding balances.

This role requires strong communication skills, accuracy, and the ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate and issue sales invoices and credit notes in line with company policies.
  • Monitor the AR ledger and ensure accurate allocation of customer payments.
  • Chase outstanding debt via phone and email, maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach.
  • Resolve invoice queries promptly by liaising with internal teams and customers.
  • Maintain customer account information and ensure data accuracy.
  • Support month-end processes, including reconciliations and reporting.
  • Assist with cashflow forecasting by providing timely updates on expected receipts.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of AR processes and controls.
  • Ad-hoc finance duties as required.
Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in an Accounts Receivable/ Credit Control or similar accounts role.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build rapport with customers.
  • Organised, self-motivated and able to prioritise workload effectively.
