We are looking for a Bakery Process Development Manager to join our team and play a key role in optimising bakery production processes. This position is ideal for someone passionate about continuous improvement, technical excellence, and working in an international environment.
A career ker will provide you with an opportunity to:
- Define, standardise, harmonise, and optimise bakery process parameters across plants.
- Create and maintain process documentation and work standards.
- Support machinery commissioning, first productions, and non‑standard production runs.
- Lead optimisation projects and contribute to investment projects, including international initiatives.
- Provide ongoing technical support to the Production Department and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
- Train production staff on bakery processes and equipment use.
- Analyse process data, propose improvements, and implement cost‑reduction strategies.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, health and safety, and company quality policies.
- Minimum 3 years in an industrial bakery or as a process engineer in food production.
- Proven experience in optimisation.
- International project experience is desirable.
- Minimum:
Technical college or equivalent. - Preferred:
Degree in life sciences (Food Technology, Chemistry, Biotechnology).
- Strong theoretical and practical baking knowledge.
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma tools.
- Excellent planning, organisational, and project management skills.
- Ability to train and communicate complex issues clearly.
- Proactive, results‑driven, and comfortable working under ambiguity.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in international teams.
- Proficient in MS Office, MS Visio, SharePoint; knowledge of AutoCAD/Solid Works is an advantage.
- Driving licence.
- Language skills:
Intermediate English (essential), advanced English and good German (preferred).
The role will require occasional work outside of normal hours and international travel.
