This part‑time role offers 22.5 hours per week which will consist of 3 days out of Monday 08:00‑16:30;
Tuesday 08:00‑16:30;
Wednesday 08:00‑16:30, Thursday 08:00‑16:30 and all requests to work flexibly will be considered, allowing for business needs, and reviewed annually.

Main duties of the job

Inspect personnel for whom they are responsible at intervals in line with The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence guidelines and provide follow‑up treatment as required.

Provide an occupational oral health assessment, being fully conversant with North Atlantic Treaty Organisation Dental Fitness categorisation and dental input into the Joint Medical Employment Standard for Service personnel.

Ensure surgery management, documentation including consumable stores, the safe custody of personal sensitive data and the maintenance of equipment is always kept to a high standard.

Job responsibilities

The aim is to maximise the deployability of the population at risk for whom they are responsible. This is to be achieved whilst complying with General Dental Council standards, Defence policies (e.g., Joint Service Publications 950), Defence Primary Healthcare Standard Operating Procedures and single Service regulations.
