They are currently working on a major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project and are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Construction Supervisor to oversee and coordinate on-site delivery. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business playing a key role in the UK's energy transition.
The Role
As an Electrical Site Construction Supervisor, you'll be responsible for supervising electrical installation works (LV/HV) on-site, ensuring all activities are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You'll work closely with the Project Manager, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure delivery is “right first time.”
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate LV/HV electrical installation works.
* Oversee installation of switch gear, transformers, earthing, ducting, protection systems, and wiring.
* Interpret and deliver works to electrical drawings and DNO specifications (e.g., G81).
* Manage and inspect above and below-ground installations.
* Support electrical testing, commissioning, and quality checks.
* Review RAMS and subcontractor documentation, ensuring compliance with scope of works.
* Provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager.
* Ensure compliance with NRSWA Section 50, NJUG guidelines, CDM regulations, HSG
47, and health & safety standards.
What We're Looking For
* 5+ years' experience in LV/HV electrical installations (HV essential).
* Strong background with switch gear, transformers, substations, and generators.
* Knowledge of DNO standards, G81 specifications, and industry best practices.
* Experience supervising subcontractors on technical electrical site works.
* Strong understanding of health & safety legislation (CDM, HSG
47, etc.).
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Experience with works up to 132kV (preferred).
* Familiarity with DNO authorisations and SAP processes (desirable).

* City & Guilds 2382 – 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
* City & Guilds 2391 – Inspection & Testing
* City & Guilds 2365 Level 2 – Electrical Installations
* Part P (Defined or Full Scope)
* SMSTS – Site Management Safety Training Scheme
* NRSWA Street Works Supervisor
* Emergency First Aid / Fire Warden
* Full UK Driving Licence
