Protecting and enhancing Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire's natural resources is a unique and exciting challenge. This apprenticeship – available to A‑level graduates – combines study with real‑world experience to develop skills and provide opportunities to make a real difference.

The apprenticeship runs through Keele University over four to five years, using a mix of block‑release, online sessions and field trips. It is based at Ceres House, Lincoln, with hybrid home working and occasional overnight travel.

• Respond to environmental incidents and support business continuity during emergencies.
• Undertake fieldwork and indoor office duties supporting flood, drought and pollution management.
• Work with partners and communities from the Humber to the Wash to adapt to climate change and protect wildlife.

• Three A‑Levels at grade BCC/BBC/BCC (or equivalent BTEC Nationals, preferably science‑based); GCSE Maths and English at grade C (4) or equivalent.

• Responsible and organised.
• Able to manage competing work demands while studying at university.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Team player.
• Results‑oriented and determined.

• Contract starts 31 Aug 2026; apprenticeship commencement September 2026.
• UK driving licence required, or to obtain by end of apprenticeship.
• No upper age limit.
