About the Role

Reporting into the Contracts Manager, the successful General Operative will be ensuring all works are completed safely and efficiently; maintaining a high-quality service at all times in line with company standards, procedures and customer requirements.

What you'll be doing

In this role, you as the successful General Operative will be carrying out the following duties and responsibilities (not exhaustive)

• Managing machinery, vehicles and personnel; ensuring you are properly informed and equipped to carry out tasks
• Complying with all safety requirements company standards and procedures for employees and sub-contractors
• Carrying out site operations to maximise operational effectiveness and efficiency Understanding of how a contract performance can be influenced and delivery of a quality service.
• Attending and contributing in discussions to ensure you are updated with key company information
• Be prepared for changes and have a flexible approach

What we are looking for

We are looking for a General Operative who ideally has :

• CSCS Qualification
• MPQC Competency Card
• Knowledge of planing machine capabilities and the ability to contribute to the operation.
• Knowledge of basic maintenance procedures
• Good communication skills.
• Flexibility and willing to work as a team
