Overview

The University of Lincoln is seeking to appoint two proactive Post Doctoral Research Associates to join the Lincoln Institute for Rural and Coastal Health (LIRCH). You will collaborate with world‑leading researchers within your role and contribute to positive impacts on rural, remote and coastal communities. The positions are externally funded by Research England’s Expanding Excellence in England fund as part of a £10.9 million grant awarded to the University of Lincoln.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to shaping the collective research portfolio of LIRCH.
  • Collaborate with world‑leading researchers and co‑design research to tackle place‑based inequalities experienced by rural, coastal, and remote communities.
  • Apply spatial and structural determinants of health, health outcome disparities, and mixed‑method approaches in research projects.
  • Engage with affected communities to inform emerging discipline and produce impactful research.
Qualifications
  • Strong academic background with experience in spatial and structural determinants of health.
  • Demonstrable experience with mixed‑method research approaches.
  • Proven interest and work on health outcome disparities faced by rural and coastal communities throughout academic career.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
