What to expect day to day The Junior Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing cutting-edge electro-mechanical products for the Energy Utilities and Renewables industries. As a member of the Mechanical Engineering team, you will support development of complex industrial products whilst ensuring our products meet stringent performance and quality standards.

Responsibilities Support development, testing and evaluation of mechanical designs for the Energy industry in accordance with Camlin NPI process, while complying with industry standards and regulations. Apply sound knowledge of engineering principles to evaluate mechanical and electro-mechanical products. Create andmaintainengineering drawings, technicalspecificationsand test plansin accordance with Camlin best practice. Create and maintain

Bills of Materials (BoM) and work with Purchasing to identify appropriate suppliers. Ensure that products will perform consistently in specified operating environments, meeting Camlinqualityand customer expectations. Apply Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFM, DFA) techniques, including standardisation of processes and technologies, to ensure cost-effective and efficient design. Collaborate with other engineering functions, and other departments including the Operations team. Take active part in design reviews, design evaluations, and testing to uphold high-quality standards.

Proactively challenge and drive the organisation to continually improve quality and performance of engineering design. Essential Requirements A minimum 2:1 degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline, or practical work experiencecommensurateto a 3rdlevel education. A minimum of1years experience in a mechanical engineeringenvironmentwith a focus onproductdesign and/or development.

Experience with Solid Edge orasimilar CAD package. Comprehensive understanding of core mechanical engineering principles. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address technical challenges. Ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands. Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration within the team and with other departments.
