DFC Work Experience - ReStore Retail

At Habitat ReStore, individuals will gain work experience within a retail environment. Tasks include customer service, operating the till, pricing and bar‑coding incoming items, sorting and displaying donations. There is a role for everyone.

• Ensure a high standard of presentation, display and merchandising of stock on the shop floor
• Provide excellent customer service, handling customer queries in person and on the phone
• Operate the electronic till system, including booking donation collections and processing payments
• Sort donated goods, this may include pricing and barcoding of stock
• Assist with keeping the store clean, tidy and ensure health & safety regulations are adhered to
• Attend appropriate training as required

Employer:

Habitat ReStore, Lisburn. This work‑experience opportunity will last 8 weeks, requiring 25–30 hours per week. Participants retain their entitlement to benefits. Travel and childcare costs may be reimbursed. Participants will also receive an incentive payment of £10 per day (max £50 per week). Lisburn. The store is open Monday to Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm; work experience will take place during these hours. Closing date: 16 February 2026. This is a work‑experience/ volunteer opportunity.
