Accounts Semi Senior

We're recruiting on behalf of a highly respected independent accountancy practice in Liverpool that works with a wide range of small and medium-sized businesses across sectors including property, manufacturing, professional services, retail, and specialist areas such as trusts and solicitor accounts.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Accounts Semi Senior to grow their career within a supportive team offering excellent progression prospects, flexible working, and ongoing study support.

• Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies and sole traders under UK GAAP (including FRS 102, 1A & FRS 105)
• Drafting corporation tax computations (finalised by the in-house tax team)
• Preparing VAT returns and management accounts
• Carrying out bookkeeping and supporting clients with digital record-keeping under MTD
• Gaining exposure to specialist entities such as trusts, pension schemes, and solicitors
• Liaising directly with clients and assisting junior team members

• Minimum 3 years' experience in an accountancy practice
• AAT qualified, near-qualified or early-stage ACCA student
• Solid knowledge of UK accounting standards
• Experience with Xero and Tax Calc is a bonus but not essential
• A confident communicator with a proactive, can-do attitude

• £26,000 - £30,000 depending on experience
• Study support for AAT or ACCA
• Hybrid working - 3 days in the Liverpool office, 2 days from home
• Flexible hours
