Senior Quantity Surveyor – Development (CK3244238)

Kingsley is recruiting for a highly successful property development company in the North West that is expanding its commercial team due to a strong pipeline of refurbishment and new‑build projects.

Role

This is an in‑house position ideal for a Quantity Surveyor with a consultancy, developer, or end‑user background. We are not looking for contractor QSs for this role.

Responsibilities
  • Producing initial cost advice and feasibility reports for potential development opportunities
  • Preparing and managing accurate, detailed cost plans
  • Monitoring project budgets and controlling expenditure throughout the lifecycle
  • Overseeing tendering processes and contractor negotiations
  • Administering JCT Design & Build contracts
  • Managing cash flow forecasts, cost reporting, value engineering, and final accounts
  • Supporting the development team in funding applications with clear, accurate cost data
  • Building strong relationships with external consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders
  • Attending site meetings, resolving commercial issues, and ensuring timely project delivery
What We’re Looking For
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
  • MRICS preferred, with a minimum of 5 years PQE
  • Experience in the consultancy or client‑side sector (developer/end‑user)
  • Living sector or PBSA project experience is a bonus but not essential
  • Strong understanding of JCT Design & Build contracts
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide as required
