Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Hays Construction are recruiting for a well-known and highly reputable Construction Contractor based in Merseyside. We are looking for a motivated and highly ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent commercial graduate with 2-3 years of post-graduate experience to develop their skills and grow within the company
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
Support the preparation of tender documents and contracts
Monitor project progress and ensure costs are kept within budget
Collaborate with the Senior QS / Commercial Manager, Project Managers, Site Teams and all external stakeholders involved in the project
Prepare and submit regular reports on project financials, manage costs, variations and valuations
Requirements:
Ideally, a

B.Sc. Quantity Surveying
2-3 years of post-graduate experience with a Quantity Surveying role
Strong analytical and numerical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Excel, cost estimating software).
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider Commercial team
You must be highly ambitious, and want to drive your career forward within Quantity Surveying
