Dental Dispensary Assistant – NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group
We are looking for a Band 2 Dispensary Assistant to support the running of clinic dispensaries and assist during examination and treatment clinics at the Liverpool University Dental Hospital.
Responsibilities- Hand out dental instruments and materials.
- Manage stock control and work closely with dental nurses and undergraduate students.
- Maintain cleanliness in the dispensary and clinical areas.
- Prepare the clinical environment under the supervision of dental nurses, including setting up dental units and instruments.
- Take steps to reduce cross‑infection risks, clearing used instruments and keeping the treatment area clean.
- Distribute instruments and materials to nurses, clinicians and students.
- Good communication skills and the ability to prioritise.
- Previous experience in a dental or clinical setting is desirable but not required; training will be provided.
Training will be provided. The role is a Band 2 position within a busy clinic.
