29 are recruiting for a Head of Engineering for utility scale renewables, where you will oversee multi disciplinary engineering and project development teams and shape the future of clean energy.

As Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for the end-to-end technical delivery of renewable energy projects, from concept through to commissioning. This includes technical strategy, design oversight, engineering team leadership, and managing all aspects of grid connection applications and compliance.

You’ll collaborate with Development, Grid, Commercial, and Delivery teams to ensure engineering excellence and regulatory alignment across all projects.

• Lead and manage the engineering team across renewables technologies.
• Technical strategy and project development engineering activities
• Oversee technical design, system architecture, and performance modelling.
• Drive the successful delivery of grid connection applications and strategy, including compliance with Energy Network processes, and grid codes.
• Coordinate with external consultants, EPCs, and OEMs on design and execution.
• Provide expert input into feasibility studies, yield assessments, and project optimization.
• Develop and implement robust engineering standards, tools, and best practices.
• Ensure regulatory, HSE, and quality compliance throughout project life cycles.
• Represent the company in technical discussions with stakeholders, including grid operators, regulators, and partners.

• Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
• 10+ years’ experience in renewable energy engineering, with a strong focus on utility scale renewables
• Deep understanding of grid connection processes including grid studies, Energy Network applications, and compliance requirements.
• Proven track record of engineering leadership in development or delivery phase.
• Experience with power system modelling tools (e.g. DIgSILENT, PSS®E, PSCAD) is a plus.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Strategic mindset with a hands on approach to project development engineering.
