Senior Quantity Surveyor - Infrastructure
Currie & Brown is seeking ambitious, highly motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Liverpool to work on infrastructure commissions.
Applicants should be experienced in delivering major infrastructure projects, with a background in highways, heavy and light rail, utilities or other civil engineering delivery. Knowledge and experience of NEC3 / suite is desirable.
The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the ability to support project leaders in maintaining high standards of service delivery in a challenging and fast-moving environment, while achieving successful outcomes for our clients. - Providing accurate commercial and cost management advice and reporting to our clients.
- Leading or supporting the successful delivery of projects, and commissions.
- Setting objectives and priorities whether working independently or as a proactive team player.
- Effective communication to ensure all information is available for the successful completion of projects/commissions; liaising with other managers to ensure efficient financial control.
- Undertaking service delivery with minimal supervision and guidance.
- Delivering all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner.
- Providing commercial management support to the broader project team.
- Developing strong collaborative relationships with client and clients’ supply chain staff that will support the achievement of project goals.
- Negotiating and corresponding with clients.
- Representing the company in a professional and diligent manner.
- Relevant educational background including degree or apprenticeship.
- Professional institution membership (CICES, RICS, ICE, etc), qualified or working towards qualification.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in relevant sectors.
- Technical delivery experience gained within civil engineering projects.
- Good technical writing, client-facing and communication skills.
- Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute.
- A team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
