Turner Lovell is hiring an Estimator / Senior Estimator to support major battery storage (BESS), DNO grid connection, substation and civils projects across the UK. Our client is a respected engineering contractor delivering full design-and-build solutions for 11kV-132kV substations, underground cabling and renewable energy assets. They work with utilities, developers and EPC partners on large infrastructure programmes supporting the UK’s energy transition.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare estimates for BESS, DNO grid connection, substation and associated civils works.
- Review drawings, specifications and ERs to develop cost breakdowns.
- Complete quantity take-offs and rate build-ups for civil and electrical packages.
- Manage supplier and subcontract enquiries and review quotations.
- Support tender submissions with risk, value engineering and commercial input.
- Maintain cost data for substations, civils works, trenching and battery storage assets.
- Work with engineering and project teams to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- 2-10 years’ experience in civil or electrical estimating.
