Senior Credit Risk Analyst (12 month Fixed Term Contract)

About the RoleWe are looking for a Senior Credit Risk Analyst to join our Existing Customer Management team within Credit Risk. This is an exciting opportunity to influence customer outcomes and business performance in a fast‑paced environment.
What you’ll be doing- Optimise lending strategies and in‑life credit decisions using data‑driven insights.
- Analyse customer behaviour and deliver actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Implement systemic changes to improve decision‑making and customer experience.
- Collaborate with internal teams and trusted third‑party partners to explore new opportunities.
- You are curious, analytical and logical with a keen eye for detail.
- You have a degree and/or practical experience in a similar role.
- You are highly proficient in SQL, SAS and advanced Microsoft Excel. Exposure to Power BI would be advantageous.
- Experience of Credit Risk, particularly within credit lending, would be advantageous.
- You are a team player who can quickly establish relationships with our existing team and key stakeholders.
- You have softer skills – the ability to coach and develop other analysts, solve complex problems and relay solutions in a simple, clear and concise way.
- You are customer‑outcome focused, commercially aware and can communicate across all levels of the business, influencing and providing challenge where necessary.
