Assistant Financial Controller Confidential Hotel Employer
Salary :
From £27,000 Hours :
Full-time, Monday Friday
Location :
Liverpool City Centre (on-site)
Join a successful city-centre hotel as an Assistant Financial Controller, supporting the Finance Controller and small accounts team in delivering accurate, timely financial processes.
The Role- Support daily accounting operations across AP, AR and ledger management
- Process payments, post invoices (Sage) and manage purchase orders
- Complete reconciliations including bank, statements and petty cash
- Prepare weekly payroll data and update employee financial information
- Assist with stock control and inventory checks
- Contribute to monthly P&L preparation and weekly forecasting
- Analyse financial data and highlight variances or issues
- Handle general office, cash-handling and administrative duties
- Coach and support junior team members
- Minimum 2 years accounting experience (ideally within hospitality or similar)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Confident with financial systems and Microsoft Office
