We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Hospital Specialist e-Detailer to support the promotion, adoption, and sales of NHSBT Tissue Services products across NHS and private hospital procurement channels. This specialist role is responsible for driving engagement with key clinical and procurement stakeholders through remote e-detailing, virtual meetings, and targeted outreach, supported by occasional face-to-face visits. The post holder will lead on commercial relationship management for assigned procurement channels and key accounts, generating sales in line with agreed targets while providing expert clinical and product knowledge.
Using a strong understanding of surgical environments, procurement pathways, and allograft applications, the role will involve interpreting highly complex and sensitive clinical information to guide bespoke tissue solutions. A core part of the role is remotely managing the sales generation of NHSBT tissue products, driving revenue growth, and providing insight into market trends and customer behaviour. The post holder will use data‑led insight to identify growth opportunities, strengthen customer engagement, and enhance commercial performance across key accounts.
This is an office‑based role, requiring effective management of customer relationships and sales activity from a central working environment.
- Making outbound calls to promote the use of NHSBT tissue products and services across the NHS and private hospital procurement channels and to allocated key accounts throughout the UK.
- Generating sales of Tissue products to agreed targets.
- Understanding and remaining up to date on NHS environments, specifically procurement.
- Using remote contact / E-detailing as the primary method of communication to customers.
- Employing a wide range of promotional tactics to successfully develop sales.
- Supporting and working with the wider sales team, progressing opportunities through strong business planning.
- Supporting and working with Customer Care colleagues to identify and progress sales opportunities through the sales adoption ladder.
- Travel required, with irregular hours when required, with prior notice.
