Domestic Assistant

We have vacancies for a Domestic Assistant, working part‑time evenings Monday‑Friday 3 hours per day between 5pm and 8pm.
Please note that the role requires domestic experience and you must be available to work the specified hours. Flexibility is required as the role may involve covering different areas daily.
Responsibilities include cleaning, preparing, and servicing patient areas such as bedded areas, wards, departments, clinics, theatres, and any other non‑occupied areas. The role requires maintaining a high standard of cleanliness to meet Trust values and ensuring a high quality service provision at all times.
Main duties of the job- Cleaning wards, clinics, and offices to high standards.
- Cleaning wards and clinics to high standards.
- Adhering to infection control policies and procedures.
- Cleaning experience essential for all posts.
- Cleaning external areas across the trust.

PersonSpecification Qualifications
- GCSE/Equivalent
- Previous domestic experience
- Previous healthcare environment experience
- Previous use of cleaning machinery, floor polishing machinery
- Knowledge of colour coding systems
- General understanding of why cleanliness in a patient/healthcare environment is important
- Health and safety basic knowledge
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Willingness and ability to undertake further training as necessary
