Provision of desktop support services to gaming developers including game development kits, audio visual technology and telephony. Support team for all desktop hardware and software support.
This is a client facing role within Worldwide Studios Europe to include the following primary responsibilities:
- Manage IT support servicesforgame development specialists
- Management of an active service desk and monitoring and management of task allocation and completionwithin agreed SLAs
- Management of all aspects of day today ITdesktopsupport (workstations, cabling,telephony, software).
- Oversee and managemajordesktopprojects (workstations upgrades, software changes, staff moves)
- Installation and configuration of hardware & software
- Management and teaching IT skills to an apprentice
- Establishing and maintaining working relationshipswiththe
Development Studio - Monitoring and control ofITservice SLAs
- Staff management and resourcing fordesktopsupport
- Responsible for desktop security and asset management control
- Management and distribution of IT peripherals
- Optimise desktop performance
- Participate in hardware and software product selection
- Ensure that the support team is fully conversant with IT and information security policy and guidance
- Ensure that the provision of services are compliant with Current Security Policies
- Good experience in a hands on support role
- Experience indesktopsupport, softwaresupportand infrastructure.
- Establishing, managing and monitoring support processes for a high availability, high capacity site
- Workstation and desktop planning and management
- Managing a service desk
- Detailed desktop operating system knowledge/experience including Linux, MacOS, and Windows
- Strong Knowledge ofdesktophardware
- Infrastructure knowledge/experience (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Mac networking)
- Knowledge and experience of the gaming industry and/or working in a creative industry is desirable
- An ability to work under pressure and prioritise effectively
- Flexible, personable, client focused and problem solving mentality
- ITIL foundationpreferable but not essential.
