IT Support Technician – Liverpool (On-site) | Up to £32,000 + Benefits
I’m working with one of the fastest‑growing retailers in the UK. They’re building their IT support function in‑house for the first time, moving away from external support to create a dedicated IT team supporting 120+ colleagues across the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to be one of the founding members of their IT function and genuinely shape the role as it evolves.
The RoleAs their first dedicated IT Support Technician, you’ll work closely with the Technology Manager to deliver excellent IT services across the business.
Your day‑to‑day will include:- Responding to and resolving 1st line IT incidents, problems and requests
- Password resets, login issues and account management
- Setting up new starters with hardware and user accounts (onboarding/offboarding processes)
- Wi‑Fi troubleshooting, network connectivity and basic network support
- Hardware setup, maintenance and troubleshooting across end‑user computing devices
- Managing and resolving support tickets through the incident management system
- Supporting cloud‑based systems including Microsoft 365 and Share Point
- Providing application support for their ERP system (Net Suite) and e‑commerce platforms
- Assisting with rolling out updates and maintenance to applications and equipment
- Supporting colleagues with training on systems and technology
- An IT support technician who isn’t seeing real progression at their current role
- Someone transitioning into IT from a customer‑service or retail background
- An apprentice ready for their next step up
- Anyone who thrives in a fast‑paced, people‑focused environment
- Excellent communication skills, supporting colleagues at all levels
- Basic understanding of IT systems, troubleshooting and end‑user computing
- Problem‑solving abilities and staying calm under pressure
- Enthusiasm to learn and develop technical knowledge
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, rapidly growing business
- Experience in e‑commerce or retail environments
- Familiarity with cloud‑based systems (Microsoft 365, SharePoint)
- Knowledge of ERP systems (Net Suite), warehouse management systems or e‑commerce platforms
- Understanding of network devices (switches, routers, firewalls)
- Awareness of IT and cyber‑security best practices
- Competitive salary up to £32,000 DOE
