Overview

Area Facilities Manager role at Equans UK & Ireland – covering the North West of England. This is a permanent, full-time position (37.5 hours per week) with a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits.

The post holder will work with an established supervisory team to ensure operations are legally and contractually compliant and deliver excellence in service delivery. The successful candidate will bring flexibility and efficiency to respond to changing business requirements and will establish strong relationships with team members, the client and external third parties.

What will you deliver?
  • Manage the efficient delivery of Hard and Soft Services to meet contractual and company requirements.
  • Proactively engage with the client to provide a single point of contact for service delivery and ensure internal and Client KPIs are met within the contract framework.
  • Act as a point of contact for non-complex project works up to the value of £50,000.
  • Lead the implementation of EQUANS and business stream Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) Policies and Procedures, including ISO 9001.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and company procedures across stakeholder groups and maintain up-to-date knowledge at all times.
  • Line management responsibility for a Technical Supervisor and Facilities Supervisors; manage a Mechanical and Electrical bias workforce and other sub-contracted M&E services, as well as commercial soft services and contracted horticultural, pest and waste services.
  • Training, development and performance review of direct reports, including succession planning.
  • Collaborate with operational leads to continually improve service delivery across the full range of services.
  • Contribute to the contract's financial performance through operational efficiency and subcontract procurement.
  • Analyze data to plan, organise, control, monitor and review services.
  • Understand and meet ongoing customer requirements and develop effective relationships with business partners, suppliers and sub-contractors.

Who are we looking for?
  • Degree or equivalent experience in an appropriate field (technical bias)
  • Experience with in an FM business
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Experience of FM project management
  • Experience of managing contractors
  • Experience of HR management
  • Strong customer focus with experience delivering high standards of customer service; previous FM experience within FM/Public sector environments
  • Full driving licence required

This role includes a DBS Standard check; the ability to pass is essential.
