Are you a Project Management (Infrastructure) professional eager to work on impactful aviation projects? We’re hiring Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers for North, Midlands, and Scotland regions across seven regional offices.

• Contribute to the successful delivery of multi-disciplinary, complex aviation projects within collaborative teams.
• Act as client (Airport) side project manager, representing clients’ interests throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide support and mentoring to graduates and apprentices.
• Ensure commissions are managed, completed efficiently, on time, and to client satisfaction.
• Support the project team to allocate appropriate resources, meeting client and business requirements, focusing on safety and operational resilience.
• Build strong relationships with aviation clients, airport stakeholders, and cross‑functional team members.
• Support aviation business development opportunities with existing and new clients.

• Experience in the aviation sector, directly or in a general aviation context.
• Aware of the regulatory framework for airports and its impact on projects and programmes; experience in a multi‑organisation, collaborative team.
• Strong communication skills, building trust with internal and external stakeholders and representing AECOM credibly.
• Can work independently when needed while collaborating with Senior Project Managers and Associates.
• A team player with a ‘can‑do’ attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful, and flexible.
• Excellent IT skills and ability to use current digital tools.
• Excellent numeracy, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Understanding of various aviation project types/sizes and adaptability to client requirements.
• Understanding and use of NEC contract suite, particularly PSC and ECC.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an aviation/airport context providing full spectrum APM/PM services, including contract management, stakeholder engagement, and delivery within agreed parameters.
• Demonstrable knowledge of NEC3/4 contract management; practical experience desirable.
• Relevant degree (project management, engineering, environmental science, construction, etc.) or equivalent industry experience.
• Built‑environment experience as client‑side Project Manager.
• Experience in terminals, baggage, airfield, or landside systems; additional experience across retail, cargo, security, safety and ancillary facilities desirable.
• Knowledge of airport stakeholders and stakeholder management experience leading to successful outcomes.
• Project management qualification such as APM PMQ or PRINCE2 desirable.
• Ability to undertake and successfully complete security screening checks.
• Experience in resource planning and supporting less‑experienced team members.
• Membership of a related professional body (APM, CIOB) desirable.
